Manchester Stairs Terms and Conditions

In these Terms and Conditions: 'We, Us and Our' refers to Manchester Stairs Ltd. The term 'You, Customer or Client' refers to the purchaser of goods or user/viewer of our website.
When you have placed an order with us, you are thereby agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Pricing and Payment
​
Unless stated otherwise, all prices quoted for goods are for supply and delivery only and are ex VAT. We do not offer a fitting service, however we can recommend reliable joiners.
Payments are to be made by cash or via bank transfers. We also accept cheques. Our terms are payment in full prior to delivery of goods or made at the time of the delivery of goods. This varies depending on our agreement made with you. We do not accept payment through the website.
Goods remain the property of Manchester Stairs until payment is made in full.
Prices and quotations may vary, but once an order is placed the price will be fixed as agreed at the time of purchase.
All quotes are valid for 3 months from the date of issue.

Placing orders
​
We don't currently have a section on our website where orders can be placed. All orders must be made either by telephone or via email enquiries.
We will send you a quotation with the price of the goods you require and include the specification of materials that will be used (all FSC Registered). If you also require stair graphics or drawings we can also provide these as well.
We can also prime or lacquer any handrails or balustrades. Newel posts can also be primed also if requested.
Our lead times are currently 4-5 weeks. However, this may vary depending on the goods you require and if we have the materials needed for your order in stock. This will be confirmed when placing the order.
Once you are happy with your quotation, we will confirm your order with you and a delivery date and time will be arranged to suit you.
We only supply staircases and all advertising is intended solely for the United Kingdom market.

Delivery
​
We only have our own dropside company van. The delivery will be made by one driver only, so you will need to make sure upon delivery that you have manpower available to move the products you have ordered.
Please inform us if there is likely to be any problems when delivering.
We only make deliveries to mainland UK.

When your goods arrive
​
Unless stated otherwise, the staircases will be supplied 'Part Assembled' which denotes that straight flights of usually 2 or more treads will be assembled, with any balustrade and newel posts removed for ease of transportation and fitting, which will be loose as well as any turns on the staircases.

Cancellations
​
If for any reason you need to cancel an order, you must give a minimum of 48hours notice before delivery is due to be made. If you do not give a minimum of 48hours notice of cancellation, you will be expected to pay the full amount for the goods, if not already done so, even if you no longer require them.
All cancellations must be made via email or telephone and will be accepted subject to confirmation in writing.

Returns
​
We request that you inspect all items received by us before signing for them. If there is any damaged items present, we recommend you refuse delivery. All items and goods signed for are no longer refundable or replaceable without charge.
If you do require any replacements as for example, they have been damaged on site, you will have to pay additional costs for the goods required.

Measurements
​
If you already know the correct measurements required for your order, we will send you stair graphics/drawings to you for you to confirm they are correct.
We also offer a measuring service, which is usually free of charge depending on your location. Where one of our directors will come to you and measure up to ensure the staircases fit perfectly into your home.

Complaints procedure
​
If for any reason there is someone wrong with your staircase which is our fault, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do all in our power to put it right.
